Horseback riding is a staple in Iceland.  The Icelandic horse is the only breed allowed there.  No horses are allowed to enter the country, and if a horse leaves it cannot return.  All of this is to protect the breed, which first began when the Vikings took the heartiest horses they could find in Norway and brought them to Iceland.  This 2-ply pullover, with its horseshoe munster, is a beautiful celebration of the Icelandic horse.
