Jokulsarlon

We have just three 1-ply sweaters and this is one of them.  One-ply sweaters take the longest to knit because the wool is thinner, requiring more stitches per row and more rows per sweater.  But these sweaters are lighter and softest, and can be worn in the widest array of climates.  Olof only knits 1-ply sweaters.  We call this one Jokulsarlon because it reminds us of our favorite destination in Iceland, the glacier lagoon, where ancient ice, carrying the soot of thousands of years of volcanic eruptions, calves into a lagoon and, eventually, the Atlantic Ocean.
